Areas of Expertise

Psychodynamic Therapy

This approach is based on insight into historical experiences leading to emotional healing. Discovering the genesis of your actions can lead to new behaviors more congruent with how you want to live your life today.

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy

This approach is based on the discovery of how you perceive the world and how this dictates your behaviors. We can work on understanding how perceptions shape your worldview. Together, we can work to find irrational thoughts that may be limiting your potential. Instituting new beliefs about yourself can help navigate your way in the world.

Personality Theory

What motivates people? Is it nature or nurture? We can work together to understand how people develop their personality, as you come to know your true self. Understanding the constructs of your personality can elicit new feelings about life. I taught Personality Theory at Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles, CA.

About Me

Seeking out therapy is a sign of strength and you deserve a safe place for discovery. Sometimes the discovery is about friends and loved ones. Ultimately, the journey of discovery leads to the "self" and how we interact with others and ourselves. I want to help you on your search toward goals that you decide. I hope you find happiness based on what we discover together. I see our relationship as a collaboration. Whether you feel as though you are in a crisis or are just searching for clarification, I believe that we can work together to develop insight, understanding, and emotional healing.

Education: I have earned a bachelors of science in Human Services and masters of science in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary's University, as well as a certification in Addiction Counseling from Intercoast College. I completed my traineeship with adults at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, CA. Additionally, I worked with adolescents as a Resource Associate for TEENLINE.

I have taught Personality Theory and Cognitive Psychology at Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles, CA. I consider myself a lifelong learner with a passion for emerging theories and techniques. I also have an extensive background in business development consulting.

Ultimately this is a journey of exploration. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you genuinely feel understood, heard, and seen in a compassionate, non-judgmental space.  Our work together can explore and navigate through your concerns to reach a more meaningful and fulfilling life while reaching your extraordinary potential.
